A desk with accompanying freely moving shelving units to rest anywhere on the table, allowing for flexible storage space. This desk can be easily disassembled and flat packed for moving. Created using both traditional techniques and modern machinery, the desk base uses traditional joinery and is held together simply with eight removable pegs. The plywood shelving unit was cut using CNC machinery and then finished by hand.
I designed and made this product during the Furniture Design and Realisation course I undertook part-time at The Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design, London Metropolitan University.
